You will lose in the court of public opinion, because you’re not really dealing with the ONE small blogger, but the entire blogosphere. See, threatening a lawsuit against a blogger is like, well…Go check it out....and if you don't believe the article? Well....Google this and tell me otherwise:

I'm not going to even begin to list all the sites that came to the aid of free speech and our fellow blogger, Duff, but let me tell you, its truely warms the heart to see the people can rally to cause of others. Today, I have yet another reason to smile.

Seriously, the linked post was very insightful about how corporations,publishers, etc. can interact with criticizing bloggers ~ open a line of communication.
I don't need to tell you about negative reactions but when I posted about Tricycle, I got loads of responces from people telling me I was wrong as well as explaining why.
It was nice to get an opposing viewpoint rather than lawsuits or blocking accounts.
