Glenn Beck, Utøya, Hitler Youth and Stupid Assholes
I am finding myself agreeing more and more with The Amazing Atheist these days. While I never listen or would watch the disturbing man that is Glenn Beck, I do hear some of the things he says when others call him out on it. The thing is, people may disregard the harm that morons like Beck do, but millions of dumb shit morons actually listen to him and nod their heads in excitement and agreement. Case in point, the very tragic story of the recent shooting at Utøya in Norway that left almost 76 dead. Before the video, I wanted to show this comment left on a Fox News website about the Utøya shootings, (you know that channel that is run by Rupert Murdoch and the neo-conservative Christians) just to demonstrate how much people like Beck and other far righties are taken so seriously. I’d put money that the person that left that note on my wife’s car probably listens to this asshole, agreeing with everything he is saying.
Hitler youth? HITLER YOUTH???? FOR FUCKING REAL???? Oh my holy Christ, how can any person with a shred of common sense even entertain this worthless crap?? The bottom line is the far right excuses disturbing crimes like what happened in Utøya for no other reason than they follow the same line of thought, yet lie to themselves about the reality of the situation. Neo-Christian Conservative Nationalism is a lot fucking closer in ideology to the Hitler Youth than the Arbeidernes Ungdomsfylking would ever be. They are fucking Socialists for Christ's sake! In what world is kind of shit ok?
