Though I don't agree with 100% of the language used here, this is a much watch video concerning this story (Catherine Kieu Becker cuts off husband's penis). (Forward to 5:01 of the video below if you just want to see the repulsive remarks made on the Friday July 15th's edition of the TV show 'The Talk')
What the hell is wrong with the hosts on the TV show 'The Talk', for laughing so callously at the genital mutilation of a man? Julie Chen, Leah Remini, Holly Robinson Peete and especially Sharon Osbourne, who commented that male genital mutilation is "quite fabulous," should seriously apologize, or perhaps even lose their jobs over how careless and cavalier they acted. Only Sara Gilbert seemed to have any amount of sanity in this situation. No person should be subject to physical abuse like this, no one. And as much as it is horribly wrong to circumcise young girls as they do in some Muslim countries, it is just as wrong to cut off a man's penis and throw it down the garbage disposal.
I mean, just imagine if this was 5 men sitting around a table on national TV laughing about a woman's clitoris being cut off. Their careers would have ended right there and then. Double standard anybody? This behavior is beyond just simple sexism, it's inhuman. I'm sorry, I just don't see the humor in this at all.
You can make a formal complaint to CBS here. You can also check out the over 1,500 comments on Reddit about this story as well. From what I understand, several thousand complaints have already been submitted to CBS, and this video got over 90,000 views in less than 24 hours.
