Blogologues in NYC - A chance to hear my humor as read by talented actors and actresses

I was contacted by a couple of very cool and talented ladies, Allison Goldberg and Jen Jamula, who run a production company up in NYC called Lively Productions. The cast and crew of Lively have created a rather popular theater series they call the Blogologues. Basically they take selective blog posts from around the web (with the permission of the bloggers), and turn them into a an on stage performance. They are finishing the work on their new series dealing with religion, and asked me if they could use one or two of my posts. They have other religious blogs and bloggers lined up for this series as well. Honestly, I was surprised that anyone would want to read some of the stuff I write out loud....well that was until I read their tag line "other wacky material that probably shouldn't be read out loud." Now I'm happy, as theater goers will be forced to listen to one or two of my most....ummm blue humor posts. Bwahahahahaha!! No, seriously, this makes me happy!

I won't be able to make it up to see the opening night of the show unfortunately, but if you are up in or around NYC, here is the information about the Blogologues if you want to go. Oh, and they got beer too. I won't say which posts they asked to use, but let's just say you won't be disappointed....perhaps offended, but not disappointed. However, I am very grateful they asked me, as I get the opportunity to entertain (or offend) folks 400 miles away.

So please, anyone that can make it, go and give me a blow by blow account of the audience reaction. From what I hear, the cast and crew do an excellent job of bringing a lot of these posts alive in exciting ways many would say they weren't intended for. For me, that's the coolest part.  So it should be entertaining even if my work makes people scream in horror at the actors.
