I have been studying and practicing Zen Buddhism for many years now, and consider myself just an ordinary practitioner of the Buddha Dharma. I have found the practical, direct and upfront message that Buddhism speaks to about the human condition, as penetrating today as it was 2,500 years ago. My dharma name is Muso, which means beyond thinking/beyond thought. This blog has a dual purpose. The first is an attempt to examine Buddhism in a post-modern light, examining new and innovative practices, cultivating more accessible understandings of the dharma and giving a voice for those who wish to seek a new and profound way out of suffering. I have also begun writing about Men's Rights issues, including things such as homelessness, suicide and family court issues.
This blog also contains a lot of my goofy, weird, irreverent and sometimes adult type humor. I grew up in rural Virginia and was raised in a conservative Catholic household. I am avid study of military history, relic hunter and huge hockey fan. (Go Caps!)
I currently work in the technology field in Washington, D.C. and I have a wonderful 10 year old son. Feel free to email me with any questions, comments or whatnot.
